There has been a lot of negative information about flip flops on the net recently. I suppose as it is flip flop season it's not really surprising, but can flip flops really be blamed for just about every foot problem going? I have worn flip flops for as long as I can remember and am happiest when my feet are out in the open, to be honest I'm happiest bare-footed but that is fraught with dangers. Flip flops if chosen carefully can provide a certain amount of protection for your feet whilst giving them the fresh air they deserve.
Much has been said about flip flops making people walk badly but has anyone checked to see how those people walk in other footwear. I see many people walking badly in all manner of shoes and boots, ugg type boots are the worst culprits in my experience. There is also the issue of lack of arch support in flip flops giving rise to painful heels although I have found my Animal flip flops are very supportive and extremely comfortable to wear on long walks. Fit flops have very comfortable soles which being thicker than most provide a good cushion for your feet.
It is all a matter of horses for courses, if you want to walk any distance in your flip flops then choose a pair accordingly but if you are out socialising go to town and wear the ones that compliment your outfit perfectly. Similarly if you are wearing them on the beach (especially if it is a pebble beach) then chose a pair with thicker soles to protect you from the stones.

I agree with you, they are really comfy nice and refreshing for your feet and don’t make your feet smell.
